Vinarós

Vinarós is a slightly larger and busier town and also has a very active fishing fleet. The "langostino" (king prawn) is held in high esteem by everyone for its optimum quality and exquisite taste. The popular "lonja" fish market auctions fish and shellfish daily.

One of the most beautiful areas of the town is the popular Plaza de la Mera. In the precinct there are several interesting historic buildings, bars, cafes, restaurants and shops.

The town boasts lovely sandy beaches offering the chance to hire pedal-boats, windsurfing boards and jet-skis. There is a regular bus service from the coves to the north of Vinarós into the town centre.
