Safe as Houses, is a small property care and maintenance business, run by Trisha and her 2 sons, Gareth and Ian. They moved to Peniscola from Oswestry, Shropshire in 2006. “Our aim is to provide a friendly, personal and efficient service to ensure that your property is being cared for and maintained”.

Trisha: Qualified Holistic Therapist, working in Health care for over 10 years. This was in both private practice and at a GP practice. Also has qualifications in Business & Finance. Before becoming a mother, she worked in the Food Industry as a Home Economist and in Telephone Sales.

Gareth: Qualifications in Business & Finance, Leisure and Tourism. Before leaving the UK, he was a Project Manager at UK‘s leading supplier of private Direct Debit Insurance schemes. He is now a Property Sales Negotiator in Peniscola.

Ian: Qualifications in Leisure, Tourism & Sport. He worked in the accounts department of an international services and ground maintenance company. Since living in Peniscola, he has worked maintaining property and gardens. “We can also help you rent out your property through our rental service, Costa Azahar Rentals.”

Basic Service

Key holding and regular internal and external inspection of your property. Ensure that the interior of the property is cleaned and tidied. Patios and terraces cleaned and swept. The property will be checked after a storm or heavy rainfall. The garden maintained.

Property Preparation

Your property prepared in readiness for you and/or your guests. Cleaned and tidied after departure. All areas cleaned inside and out. Ensure there are toilet rolls, clean bed linen, towels and tea towels. Electricity turned on for arrival, and off at departure. Ensure light bulbs and batteries are working. Welcome Provisions Pack, made up to your requirements, for example: bread, coffee, tea, milk, eggs, butter, cheese, biscuits, cereal, fruit juice, fruit, water, wine.

Other services

A more thorough cleaning at the beginning and end of each season. Windows, lights, curtains, heaters, and fans, cleaned and checked. Ensure appliances are in working order. Outside areas cleaned. Electricity and other services turned on or off. Transport to and from Train Stations. Please book in advance if possible. Available for Benicarlo and Vinaros stations. We can organise small maintenance jobs to be done. For example: painting, decorating and small repairs. Cot, Pushchair, High Chair and Wheelchair hire. “If there is anything you require which is not in this leaflet, please ask, we will do our best to help”. Payment As we provide a tailor-made service, the price can be negotiated for the level of service required
